On 22nd July, four swimmers broke the world record to become the fastest swimmers ever to cross the North Channel. Swimmers Danny Hanlon, Bernie Stone, James Brent & Will Collings Wellsthey completed the swim in an astonishing 6 hours and 31 minutes.  The team swam the Dál Riata Channel (from Mull of Kintyre Scotland to Northern Ireland) in a relay, with each person swimming one hour in rotation. In sea temperatures of just 13°C, the team covered a distance which in a straight line is 17k, but was significantly more with currents. Many thanks to Bernie, Danny, James and Will for their outstanding achievement and for naming ACT as one of the charities to benefit from their amazing fundraising effort.  To read more about their incredible achievement, please click here.
